Standard services
ICT services required by the different units of the Federal Administration with the same or similar level of functionality and quality are managed centrally for the entire Federal Administration and provided as standard services by the Digital Transformation and ICT Steering Sector (DTI).
The administrative units can choose between different specifications (proposed services) of standard ICT services. In accordance with the Ordinance on Digital Services and Digital Transformation in the Federal Administration (DigiV in German), the Federal Chancellor defines the standard services that must be acquired.
The DTI Sector also provides standard services. This means that it operates a centralised requirements and service provider management at federal level. The functionalities to be covered along with the sourcing, ordering and invoicing of services are defined in consultation with the departments and submitted to the Federal Chancellor.

Current standard ICT services
The DTI sector manages the following standard ICT services:
- Office Automation
- GEVER
- Identity and Access Management (including AGOV)
- Websites
- Directory Services
- Data Communication
Interaction between standard services and joint specialist services
The Federal Administration has a number of shared ICT services and related technical support. These arrangements cover joint digital transformation projects and/or the pooling of ICT resources.
Two different types of services are available:
- Standard services: designed to address the general-purpose needs of all administrative units.
- Joint specialist services: designed to address the targeted needs of a group of administrative units.

Office automation standard service
The office automation standard service provides employees of the central Federal Administration with their digital workplace.
GEVER standard service
The GEVER standard service manages electronically the business-relevant information that is generated by the administrative units of the Federal Administration as part of their statutory mandate.
Standard service Websites
The standard service Websites – or SS Web for short – is the Swiss Federal Administration’s centralised standard service for managing and publishing web content.
