GovTech Hackathon 2026
The third edition of the GovTech Hackathon took place in Bern on 28 and 29 May 2026. Over 140 developers, experts and interested individuals from the administration, business and civil society came together to develop solutions centred on the topic “Leverage data – generate impact ”.
Working in interdisciplinary teams, participants spent two days developing data-driven prototypes to tackle the challenges submitted. Their aim was clear: to explore how innovative solutions based on public administration data can deliver tangible added value for the state, society and the economy.
The proposed solutions were then presented to a jury comprising representatives from the cantons, the federal government and the academic community.
The jury singled out three solutions in particular:
- Most useful solution: Navigating Unemployment – A Digital Companion (de)
- Most sophisticated solution: One Click Drought Briefing (de)
- Most creative solution: Profiling Settlement Quality (de)
We would like to thank everyone who helped make this event a success.
