Federal Chancellor's staff office
The Federal Chancellor’s staff office provides support both on organisational and administrative matters and on matters of policy and strategy intended for the Federal Chancellor or the Federal Council.
The Federal Chancellor’s staff office supports the Federal Chancellor and the vice chancellors in their work. As such it is involved in the subject matter, organisation and administration of day-to-day business, strategic projects and special assignments.
The tasks of the office also include preparing and following up on the Federal Council’s meetings and items of business, assisting the Federal Chancellor, managing the agenda and compiling dossiers. The staff office also coordinates the Federal Chancellery’s parliamentary affairs, oversees the meetings of the Executive Board and acts as the point of contact for major policy issues.
The Federal Chancellor’s staff office comprises the assistants to the Federal Chancellor and the vice chancellors, including the usher, and a team of special advisers.
